- Description
Join us during Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Awareness Week for this four-part series highlighting the experiences of AYA patients and caregivers who have been affected by cancer. This program intends to provide adolescent and young adult patients and caregivers with a safe platform to share their personal and unique perspectives. The hope is to bring awareness to the specific challenges AYA cancer patients and caregivers face daily, reducing feelings of isolation and creating a sense of community.
The 90-minute workshops will be moderated by CancerCare’s licensed oncology social workers. Each workshop will include a 30-minute educational presentation, followed by a 60-minute discussion with young adult panelists who will share their stories and experiences.
