They work directly with insurance providers to verify eligibility and file claims on behalf of patients. Accepts Aetna, Cigna, Tricare and ChampVA insurance. May be able to help with co-pay for wig or prosthesis and offers a free new/gently used wig program.

NWFCS is independently funded by individuals who want to help cancer patients feel more like themselves again by receiving a high quality wig for free or at a greatly reduced discount. All wigs provided by NWFCS are made from human hair and can be cut, colored and styled; they are completely customizable. Contact NWFCS to be connected with a partner salon in your area. They work directly with insurance providers to help file claims and bill insurance companies.

Grants range from $500-$1,500, and applications should be completed by an oncology social worker, doctor’s office, or patient navigator.

Financial Assistance Program offers limited financial assistance for cancer-related costs such as transportation, home care and child care, and oncology social workers can help find additional resources. Also provides co-payment assistance through the CancerCare Co-Payment Assistance Foundation (check website for current funding). Offers free wig and prosthesis clinics in our New York, NY office, and free wigs by appointment in our Ridgewood, NJ and Long Island, NY locations. Offers assistance for people with cancer caring for a cat or dog through the Pet Assistance & Wellness Program (PAW).
