Through a partnership between CancerCare and LUNGevity, the Lung Cancer Helpline provides free, personalized emotional, financial and practical support to patients and caregivers coping with a lung cancer diagnosis.
CancerCare partnered with the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) to start the first-ever helpline for bladder cancer patients, their loved ones, caregivers and those who have lost a loved one to bladder cancer. This helpline is staffed by professional oncology social workers with specific expertise on the emotional and practical needs of the bladder cancer community.
Through CancerCare’s continued partnership with Debbie’s Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer, the Debbie’s Dream Stomach Cancer Helpline provides dedicated emotional support to people affected by stomach cancer, including patients, their loved ones, caregivers and those who have lost a loved one to stomach cancer. Master’s-prepared oncology social workers with specific expertise in the issues facing the stomach cancer community run this helpline.
Our Triple Negative Breast Cancer Helpline, in partnership with the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, provides free, professional support services to patients and caregivers coping with a triple negative breast cancer diagnosis.
CancerCare and Triage Cancer offer a Purpose in Planning workshop series addressing topics including navigating finances, estate planning and medical decision making by providing both educational information on finances and planning as well as emotional guidance to people affected by cancer.
The Cost of Cancer, a workshop in partnership with HealthyWomen, provides educational information and emotional guidance to people affected by cancer. Led by oncology social workers, the live video workshop will cover the basic understanding of the cost of cancer and where to find financial assistance.
The Community Oncology Alliance Helpline provides access to the COA/CancerCare Patient Assistance Transportation Program and the COA/CancerCare Patient Assistance Financial Fund.
In partnership with Stupid Cancer, we offer an Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Chronicles workshop series for AYA patients and loved ones coping with cancer, including topics such as coping with cancer, the caregiver experience, dating and disclosure, survivorship and living with metastatic disease.
In partnership with the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, we offered a Lung Cancer Survivorship: Adjusting to Post-Treatment Life after Lung Cancer workshop that provides support and hope not only to the 16% of people diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer but also to those with more advanced stages of lung cancer and those caring for a loved one.
As part of CancerCare@Work, CancerCare helps companies support colleagues affected by cancer on the organizational and employee level. Through this dedicated helpline, Paramount employees have access to all of CancerCare's free programs and services.
As part of CancerCare@Work, employees with the City of New York ACS can get support from oncology social workers and gain access to CancerCare's free programs and services.
In partnership with the Community Oncology Alliance (COA), CancerCare launched the Time to Screen campaign, urging people to schedule recommended cancer screenings.
