CancerCare’s Chief Program Officer, Brian Tomlinson, MPA, Joins Cancer.Net’s Editorial Board

NEW YORK, NY (November 13, 2018) – CancerCare, the leading national nonprofit organization providing free, professional support services to anyone affected by cancer, is pleased to announce that Brian Tomlinson, MPA, has recently been appointed as a lymphoma advisory panelist on Cancer.Net’s Editorial Board.

Cancer.Net is the patient information website of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), which Mr. Tomlinson has been a member of since 2012. Mr. Tomlinson will be joining respected oncology leaders as a member of the Lymphoma Panel, which is led by Michael E. Williams, MD, ScM. As an advisory panelist, Mr. Tomlinson will help curate and review lymphoma-specific content for Cancer.Net.

I am honored to be part of this advisory panel and help ensure that patients and their families have the most accurate and complete information available when making decisions about their health,” said Mr. Tomlinson.

Mr. Tomlinson directs all aspects of CancerCare’s programs and services, including a staff of professional oncology social workers who provide information, resources and psychosocial support to people affected by cancer. He also oversees CancerCare’s extensive portfolio of educational programs, which are designed to inform and empower the oncology community to make informed health care decisions, and leads the organization’s national patient assistance programs, which provide direct financial assistance for treatment-related needs. Prior to joining CancerCare, Mr. Tomlinson served as a member of the executive leadership team at Lymphoma Research Foundation and oversaw the development and execution of the foundation’s patient programs.

Mr. Tomlinson is a highly respected national advocate for the oncology community. He currently serves as a member of the Know AML steering committee, acting as an ambassador and patient advocate and providing guidance across the development of supportive and educational materials and resources.
