CancerCare's My Cancer Circle Relaunches New Website
CancerCare, the leading national organization providing free, professional support services for those affected by cancer, is excited to announce the redesign of MyCancerCircle.net™, a free, private and customizable online tool that enables caregivers of people facing cancer to organize and coordinate a circle of family members and friends to provide practical and emotional support. MyCancerCircle.net provides caregivers of people facing cancer a simple, effective answer to a question they are asked constantly, “What can we do to help?”
Powered by Lotsa Helping Hands, Inc., My Cancer Circle website and app are an online caring community that brings together friends, family and volunteers to support families and caregivers of people with cancer. Lotsa Helping Hands, Inc. offers technical assistance through their Member Support Center, ensuring My Cancer Circle communities get the most out of their experience. Since 2013, My Cancer Circle has had over 291,000 active users in 12,100 caregiver communities and has engaged 103,900 volunteers.
My Cancer Circle helps caregivers invite as many people into the care team as they wish. Members can volunteer for tasks and can share the link with others so they can request to join the community at any time. The updated website and new app now allow caregivers to communicate to their volunteers through traditional email, SMS texts and push notifications.
“We’re thrilled to be relaunching My Cancer Circle, a service that provides much needed support for people facing a cancer diagnosis and their families,” said Patricia J. Goldsmith, CancerCare CEO. “Our goal is to provide emotional and financial support to those affected by cancer, as well as practical support in helping them cope.”
