CancerCare® to Host Virtual Festival of Hope Gala on May 12, 2021
CancerCare, the leading national nonprofit organization providing free, professional support services to anyone affected by cancer, is thrilled to announce the 33rd Festival of Hope Gala will be held virtually on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
This annual event is an important opportunity to honor individuals and organizations that have made substantial contributions to improving the lives of people affected by cancer through their partnerships with CancerCare.
“This annual event is extremely meaningful, not just to CancerCare’s New Jersey office, but to the entire organization,” said Kathy Nugent, LCSW, Director of Regional Programs. “Each year the proceeds from the Festival of Hope Gala go towards CancerCare’s free programs and services, and we’re so grateful for our community’s continued support.”
This year, CancerCare is excited to announce that the recipient of the 2021 Corporate Achievement Award is Genmab, an international biotech company, and the recipient of the 2021 Help & Hope Volunteer Award is Doron Krakow on behalf of the Krakow Family.
“We are honored to receive the 2021 Corporate Achievement Award and would like to thank CancerCare for the critical work they are doing to help people across all 50 states to overcome challenges related to cancer,” said Anthony Mancini, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Genmab. “Our core purpose is to improve the lives of people with cancer and by supporting CancerCare, we believe we will be able to make more progress towards tackling cancer.”
