Celebrating 80 Years, the Organization’s 2024 New Jersey Gala Raised Over $140,000 to Support its Free Emotional & Practical Support Services
CancerCare®, the leading national nonprofit organization providing free, professional support services to anyone affected by cancer, is pleased to share that this year’s Festival of Hope Gala raised over $140,000 to support people impacted by cancer. The organization, which is celebrating 80 years of providing help and hope this year, held its 36th Annual Festival of Hope Gala on May 15, 2024, at the Park Savoy, in Florham Park, New Jersey.
CancerCare was proud to present its 2024 Corporate Achievement Award to Sanofi. This award acknowledges Sanofi’s outstanding dedication to cancer research and the development of innovative therapies. Sanofi has also been instrumental in extending invaluable support services that have benefited patients and their families. The award was accepted by Elizabeth Franklin, PhD, MSW, Sanofi’s Head, US Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy, Oncology.
“We are immensely thankful for the generous support from Sanofi and all our sponsors and donors who contributed to the success of this year’s Festival of Hope Gala. Their assistance enables CancerCare to continue offering life-changing services and support to patients, caregivers and the bereaved,” said Kathy Nugent, LCSW, CancerCare’s Senior Director of Regional Programs.
“CancerCare’s educational programs, support groups, resource navigation, social work expertise guiding people in their worst moments – these are the things that restore and sustain hope in people as they enter and navigate life as someone living with cancer,” said Elizabeth Franklin in her remarks. “For over 80 years, this organization has been a trailblazer and for the past 20, I’ve been lucky enough to witness the evolution of their programs and services. On behalf of Sanofi, I want thank CancerCare for this incredible honor.”
In addition to Sanofi, CancerCare would like to thank its other sponsors, including its Benefactor Merck, Patron Sponsors Eisai and Pfizer and to the families and individual contributors who stand with us in our mission to provide emotional, practical and financial support to people impacted by cancer.
