CancerCare® Honors Leader in Cancer Treatments at 30th Partnerships in Hope Annual Awards Dinner
New York, NY, February 4, 2013—National nonprofit CancerCare will honor Eisai at the 30th Partnerships in Hope Annual Awards Dinner on Tuesday, February 5 at The Yale Club in New York City. This annual event, hosted by actress and cancer advocate S. Epatha Merkerson, recognizes individuals and corporations dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people affected by cancer.
Eisai is a longtime supporter of CancerCare’s educational workshops and publications, funding programs on topics including side-effect management and coping strategies for patients and caregivers. Eisai also sponsors CancerCare’s Healing Hearts Bereavement Camp—a retreat for families coping with the loss of a loved one to cancer—and this fall launched Magnolia Meals at Home, a pilot program delivering free meals to people in treatment for breast cancer.
“Eisai is a leader in oncology that is also dedicated to providing education, support and practical help to people facing cancer,” said CancerCare CEO Helen H. Miller, LCSW. “CancerCare is proud to honor Eisai for their outstanding commitment to patient and caregiver care.”
