The Facilities team at CancerCare plays an integral part in the day-to-day operations of our organization. While their roles have shifted as a result of the pandemic, Facilities’ on-site presence is essential to logistics and infrastructure for our offices. This includes the implementation and maintenance of COVID-related public health and safety measures for staff members working in person.

This month, we’re recognizing the vital services our Co-Pay Assistance team provides CancerCare clients navigating the financial hurdles of accessing cancer treatments, including high co-pays, deductibles and coinsurance for prescribed treatments.

Our annual national gala takes place next week, and it would not be possible without our Special Events department.

Human Resources is an integral part of any organization, managing recruitment, employee development, performance management, benefits and more. By caring for employees and ensuring they have what they need to succeed, HR allows staff to focus on their primary duties—and, in turn, helps CancerCare continue to make the biggest possible impact for our clients.

This month, we’re thrilled to feature Rachel Ciborowski from our Individual Giving team. Individual Giving focuses on the cultivation and stewardship of individual donors (rather than foundations or other grant-making organizations). This important work requires close collaboration across the organization. Individual Giving sits within our broader Development department, which strengthens donor relationships and raises funds to support CancerCare’s free programs and services.
