Families Are Invited to Join the Healing Hearts Bereavement Camp
Registration is now open for families interested in spending a weekend at CancerCare’s Healing Hearts Bereavement Camp, a free retreat for those coping with the loss of a loved one to cancer. The seventh annual camp will take place on June 5-7 at Malibu Dude Ranch in Milford, PA. The camp combines fun activities such as swimming and horseback riding with therapeutic grief activities to provide emotional support.
Financial Assistance Is Now Available for People Diagnosed with Melanoma or Lung Cancer
CancerCare now has national grants, generously funded by Bristol-Myers Squibb, available for people diagnosed with metastatic melanoma or metastatic lung cancer. The funds will cover travel expenses associated with treatment for those who are eligible.

Laurence’s Story of Help and Hope
Laurence, 64, is an architect, an artist, and also a prostate cancer survivor. The diagnosis at age 61 came as a huge surprise. “The news came via telephone, which was sort of a shock. I picked up the phone and was told by my doctor, ‘you have cancer’.”
