  A close family friend was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer, and she will learn soon what her treatment will be. She mentioned different surgical options, and I want to learn more. Where should I look to learn more about her options?

  The National Cancer Institute is a good place to start to find information about bladder treatment options. Additional organizations that provide information about bladder cancer treatment, as well as general bladder cancer information, include:

CancerCare offers many support services that might be helpful to you or your friend, including individual telephone counseling and telephone or online support groups.
